Based within Housing Property Services in the Civic Centre, Motherwell, you will be operationally responsible for assisting the Service Delivery Manager in the delivery of service areas including construction programmes of major refurbishment, new build programmes and a repairs and maintenance service, contract support and administration to support all the activities involved in the delivery of the works’ programmes. Working with partnering contractors to coordinate and support the needs of over 37,000 properties, you will lead on a range of construction and or administration functions which will include the coordination of major refurbishment, new build, planned maintenance and repairs programmes, improvement works, support of capital programme delivery, cyclical asset surveys and the coordination of associated works, void repairs, adaptations, legislative works coordination, including asbestos, energy and heating maintenance. We also provide a full advice service to our client group including tenants and home owners.
Other areas will include the monitoring of partnering of contractor performance and related outcomes, managing and reporting on complex service enquiries and complaints and supporting a range of wider business improvement initiatives including the deployment of mobile technologies across operations. You will also be operationally responsible for a range of regulated and legislative services and have responsibility for the day to day management of a range of staff and administrative resources.
You should have an SVQ3/HNC in a relevant discipline or equivalent trade/apprenticeship qualification and extended relevant experience, preferably in a housing maintenance and or a construction environment, including financial and personnel resource management. Experience of managing contractors and performance to achieve agreed objectives is also essential, as is experience of service development and experience of staff supervision. A formal trade or technical background with appropriate qualifications/accreditations and experience of health and safety management and CDM are desirable.
As a Service Delivery Co-ordinator, you will be required to participate in a rota to facilitate the out of hours’ response service during evenings and weekends.
Working pattern: 17.5 hours per week - Thursday, Friday and alternate Wednesdays.
