What's the role? To assist in the inspection, maintenance and first line repairs on non-leased ICT equipment. Support deployment and disposal routes for ICT equipment. Duties will include maintaining appropriate records and systems for the efficient functioning of ICT equipment. Support requirements will be recorded through the service desk.

As part of this apprenticeship, you'll undertake an SCQF Level 8 in Digital Technology (IT Support). You'll also gain valuable work experience in a Field Service IT support function. This Apprenticeship would appeal to you if you're interested in an IT Support function role.

Placements are in the following area: Central Field Service Team based in Motherwell Civic Centre. There may be opportunities to work in other locations throughout North Lanarkshire.

What do I need? You don't need to have any previous experience although 4 national 5's at bands A-C or equivalent and Higher English and Maths at bands A-C is essential and a previous qualification in an IT related subject at either Higher, NC, NQ or HNC/D level is desirable. We look for Apprentices who can help us deliver our exciting ambition and plans for North Lanarkshire. During the selection process we'll look for you to demonstrate the key strengths we know you'll need to be successful; ambition, determination, adaptability, personality, ownership, be pro-active and show willingness to learn.

In accordance with Government Guidelines, you'll need to be aged 16-24 (at the point of starting the apprenticeship) or if you are disabled or care experienced, you'll need to be aged between 16-29 (at the point of starting the apprenticeship).

Work pattern: 35 hours per week - Monday - Thursday: 08:45 - 16:45 (including a 55 minute unpaid break) Friday: 08:45 - 16:15 (including a 50 minute unpaid break).
