Responsibilities

  • Your main duties will involve ensuring our children are safe and happy in the morning before the start of the school day.
  • You will help to work as part of the local team and as directed by the Head Teacher to supervise children during breakfast time in the school grounds, assisting with their welfare and promoting positive conduct in line with council policy and procedures.
  • You will also be responsible for cleaning tables and any spillages, ensuring the dining area is clean and tidy at all times.

Qualifications and attributes

  • Ideally experience working with children in a school situation or voluntary capacity.
  • Be a positive, approachable and pleasant individual with good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Punctual, reliable, with a basic knowledge of hygiene and cleanliness and the ability to execute routine tasks on your own initiative as well as following the Head Teacher's instructions.
  • PVG Scheme membership is required prior to commencing in this role.

Work pattern

  • 5 hours per week: Monday to Friday - 8.00am until 9.00am

Contract

  • This is a temporary position until 26/06/2026.
