Based within the Integrated Equipment and Adaptions Service, Motherwell, you will lead a team of technicians to deliver, install, repair, collect and demonstrate a variety of equipment to promote independent living. You will allocate work on a daily basis, monitoring and inspecting this work to ensure all work is completed to a high standard and compliant with agreed service levels. You will monitor performance levels within the team to ensure resources are optimised and identify areas of improvement and assist the Service Manager and Stores Manager in identifying and introducing new products and technologies into the service.
You will also provide advice to fieldwork and IEAS staff on the technical aspects of equipment installation and develop and deliver training to staff in this area. An SVQ level 3 or HNC in a relevant discipline is essential, although applications will be accepted if you are working towards such a qualification. Experience in a relevant semi-skilled background and dealing directly with the general public are also essential. Experience of working with people with disabilities is desirable. A driving licence is essential. You will require to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member prior to commencing in this role. Please note that if appointed you will be contractually obliged to successfully gain the required qualification within agreed timescales.
Working Pattern: Monday - Thursday: 08:45am - 16:45pm, Friday: 08:45am - 16:15pm.
