The predicted salary is between 26000 - 30000 £ per year.
Based within one of our Depots throughout North Lanarkshire, you will drive and be responsible for allocated vehicles requiring specialist driving skills. Specifically operating complex vehicles in difficult or complex situations where manoeuvring skills and good judgement are required.
Other duties will include vehicle checks, routine maintenance, and cleaning, transporting goods and people and carrying out associated paperwork. Whilst not driving, undertake ancillary duties as appropriate to the type of work undertaken by the teams being serviced (i.e. snow clearing, vehicle/site housekeeping and cleanliness).
You must be in possession of a Driver Certificate of Competence (CPC) and hold a minimum Category C (LGV) licence. However, category D plus E would be desirable. You should be able to follow written and verbal instructions, accurately complete work-related paperwork, and demonstrate initiative in problem-solving as required. Additionally, you must be physically capable of meeting the demands of the role.
It is essential that you have experience of working within a team and dealing with members of the public as well as understanding health and safety requirements and manual handling techniques. You must also have a flexible approach to working practices.
A combination of permanent and temporary posts are available. Temporary appointments are for a duration of 23 months until 21/12/2027. Work Pattern will be 7 over 14 days. This will be discussed further at interview.
Shift A: Week 1: Monday, Thursday & Friday: 10:40 hours; Week 2: Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday: 10:40 hours & Sunday: 10 hours; Shift B: Week 1: Monday, Thursday & Friday: 10:40 hours; Week 2: Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday: 10:40 hours & Sunday: 10 hours.
