Working with a variety of partners, the Enterprise and Communities service has a key role in guiding this regeneration towards sustainable development. As our Business Systems Manager, you will report to the Housing Solutions Manager to lead the scoping, researching, specifying and building of business cases for business and information systems within Enterprise and Communities. You will work in partnership with key stakeholders, including internal and external IT providers and consultants and managers and staff from various services across the council, to ensure continuity of existing business systems and to manage the introduction of new technologies, all as part of the digital transformation of the council. A large part of this post will be to develop and implement a replacement housing management system.

Educated to degree/SVQ4 or HND level or equivalent in a relevant discipline, you will have substantial experience within a management role with experience of project management and managing complex projects and be able to evidence examples of managing and reviewing performance and working with others services, agencies and partners to achieve successful outcomes. Your experience should include managing and monitoring budgets and project costs with the ability to motivate and lead a multi-disciplinary team. With knowledge of housing and/or enterprise related legislation and procedures and the ability to use IT effectively, you will have excellent report writing skills, be committed to both leading and working within a team, have effective communication methods and demonstrate the personal drive, positivity and motivation needed to deliver the council’s priority outcomes. A management or project management qualification and understanding of implementing new business systems and the business change process is desirable.

Work pattern: Week 1 - Thursday & Friday: 08:45am - 16:45pm (including a 55 minute unpaid break); Week 2 – Wednesday, Thursday: 08:45am - 16:45pm (including a 55 minute unpaid break) and Friday: 08:45am - 16:15pm (including a 50 minute unpaid break).
