Fitness Specialist (Community Hub) (Part Time) (Temporary) (3 Posts) North Lanarkshire Council – Edinburgh, Scotland, GB

Responsibilities

  • Work within community hubs in the North Lanarkshire area to ensure the safety and conduct of referral groups in the hubs.
  • Deliver small group training sessions and provide basic nutritional advice.

Qualifications

  • Personal Trainer Level 3 certificate from a recognised REPS-accredited governing body.
  • Experience working in a gym environment and prior personal training experience.
  • First Aid certificate is desirable.
  • Pleasant manner, good physical fitness, and excellent communication skills.
  • Other requirements
  • Must become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member through Disclosure Scotland and obtain a satisfactory membership check prior to commencing in this role.
  • Work Location: Riverbank & Orbiston, Nemains & Motherwell, and Chryston & St Kevins Community Hub.
  • Work Pattern: 20 Hours — 5-hour shifts over 4 days. Shift pattern to be discussed at interview.
  • Temporary up to 31 May (end date to be confirmed).
