We have an exciting opportunity for an energetic and passionate individual to join the council’s Business Gateway team. You will assist the Enterprise Development Manager in the delivery of an efficient, high quality, professional Business Gateway service on behalf of North and South Lanarkshire Councils.
You will lead a team of Senior Business Advisers and Business Advisers and play a key role in developing the Lanarkshire Business Gateway service, promoting entrepreneurialism in Lanarkshire, supporting the creation of new businesses and supporting and the sustainability and growth of existing businesses.
You should have substantial experience in either engaging with businesses or providing advice/support to businesses. You must have strong project development and project management skills preferably gained in an economic development or businesses related environment, with the ability to work in multi-agency partnerships and to interpret external business information/trends to inform future service delivery. Your experience should include managing budgets and developing solutions to meet business needs. Ideally, you should have experience of procurement/contract management.
Educated to HND/SVQ4/Degree or equivalent level in a relevant discipline with strong organisational skills and excellent communication skills, you should demonstrate high personal drive and motivation to deliver a range of key activities to meet the council’s priority outcomes.
You will be joining a dynamic and flexible team who currently operate a hybrid working model of home-working and office-based working at the Dalziel Building in Motherwell.
Due to the geographical spread of our business, you must be able to travel throughout North and South Lanarkshire and surrounding areas.A driving licence is desirable.
