The predicted salary is between 26771 - 32721 £ per year.

An opportunity has arisen to join our Roads Maintenance team. In this exciting role you will be responsible for the maintenance and management of the road and other council assets. You will be responsible for the identification, development and delivery of a range of infrastructure renewal and reactive maintenance programmes for roads, footpaths and other assets, ensuring that a risk-based asset management approach is at the heart of our service delivery.

With an HNC, or equivalent level qualification, in a relevant discipline, you will have significant knowledge and experience in Road Maintenance. You will have experience of working with contractors, external and internal stakeholders and working in partnership would be an advantage. To be a success in this role you will be innovative, solutions focused, influential and have the ability to assess and react to changing priorities.

You will be able to adapt to new technologies that help to improve service delivery and the customer experience. You will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of quality services to our citizens and communities and you will promote the Council’s vision, values and reputation. You will be business and customer focused with a demonstrable record of identifying opportunities and achieving outcomes.

You will be self-motivated with a flexible and collaborative approach to work and have the ability to cope with multiple and changing demands whilst meeting tight deadlines. You will also have a good understanding and knowledge of road policy and legislation.

With excellent organisational and IT skills, you will be able to utilise various Microsoft Office packages, and be a clear written and verbal communicator, with the ability to analyse information and clearly communicate with customers, contractors and other stakeholders. You must hold a current UK driving licence to apply for this role.

Work pattern: 35 hours per week - Monday - Thursday: 08:45 - 16:45 (including a 55 minute unpaid break) Friday: 08:45 - 16:15 (including a 50 minute unpaid break)
