Position Overview

We are looking for someone enthusiastic and motivated to join us to help deliver a professional and effective clerical and administrative support service within our Sports Development Department. The postholder will provide a full range of clerical support to the organisation and will be responsible to the Sports Development Management Team for the efficient performance of administrative duties as allocated.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing a varied range of administrative tasks, including preparing and processing purchase orders for supplies and services via an electronic system, and preparing and processing accounts and invoices for payments in accordance with the council’s financial regulations.
  • Dealing with enquiries from the public and partner agencies; inputting and extracting data from IT systems and databases; preparing letters and reports; and recording minutes from business meetings.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Good standard of education and experience in an office environment, demonstrating strong organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Working knowledge of IT systems, including Microsoft software packages, and the ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality regarding all aspects of work.

Working Hours

The work pattern for this role will be Monday to Thursday 9:00 am to 3:00 pm (20 Hours).
