North Lanarkshire Council, as one of Scotland’s largest local authorities, is delivering exciting and ambitious programmes for its existing housing stock and surrounding areas. Working with a variety of partners, the Housing Investment Team has a key role in guiding this regeneration towards sustainable development. We have created a new opportunity to join our multi-disciplinary design/project management team as a Construction Fire Safety Manager.

You will lead the development and delivery of fire safety investment projects of varying scale and complexity, managing technical staff and ensuring projects align with the RIBA Plan of Work. You will support the strategic development of fire safety policies, provide expert guidance to internal teams and contractors and act as the principal advisor on fire safety for the Investment team.

With a degree/SVQ4/HND in a relevant discipline, you should have considerable knowledge and experience in a construction/fire safety field. You will have sound knowledge of Project Management, Construction, Building Standards and related legislation together with experience and an understanding of the construction industry. Along with excellent IT skills, you must have the ability to achieve solutions to design related problems.

Working Pattern: Monday - Thursday: 08:45 - 16:45, Friday: 08:45 - 16:15
