You will be joining a dynamic and flexible team within Roads and Asset Services, who operate a Hybrid model, combining home-working with a minimum of ten days in the office per month. You will require a driving licence to facilitate travel throughout North Lanarkshire out with public transport routes.
In this exciting role you will be responsible for the provision of a Land Survey and Record service. You will ensure the effective administration and management of data through the operation of software applications, in particular Geographic Information Systems (GIS). You will assist in data collection, interpretation, processing and reporting, ensuring that quality data and information is provided for asset management decisions which support the heart of our service delivery.
You will have extended relevant working experience and have an understanding of survey work and data interpretation. You will have working knowledge of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and experience in providing efficient administration. You will ideally hold an HNC, or equivalent level qualification in a relevant discipline or be willing to work towards obtaining this level of qualification.
To be a success in this role you will be innovative, solutions focused, influential and have the ability to assess and react to changing priorities. You will be able to adapt to new technologies that help to improve service delivery and the customer experience. You will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of quality services to our citizens and communities and you will promote the Council’s vision, values and reputation.
You will be self-motivated with a flexible and collaborative approach to work and have the ability to cope with multiple and changing demands whilst meeting tight deadlines. With excellent organisational and IT skills, you will be able to utilise various Microsoft Office packages, and be a clear written and verbal communicator, with the ability to analyse information and clearly communicate with customers, contractors and other stakeholders.
Both posts are available on a temporary basis - Post 1 - 23 months and Post 2 - 12 months.
Work pattern: 35 hours per week - Monday to Thursday 8:45am to 16:45pm (30 min break); Friday 8:45 to 16:15 (30 min break)
