Are you a qualified Swim Teacher looking for a new opportunity? As part of the Aquatics team, working across North Lanarkshire's Swimming Pools, you will ensure the safe and effective operation of the swimming lesson programme, teach, and develop appropriate lessons for groups and individuals to meet the needs of each level within the Scottish Swimming's Learn to Swim Framework.

With experience of working in a leisure facility/environment, you must possess the following minimum qualification:

  • Scottish Swimming Teacher Qualification (SSTQ) Level 1 Teachers qualification in swimming or equivalent.

Possession of excellent communication and customer care skills, as well as the ability to comply with the flexible hours associated with the programme are also essential. Sunday 8:45am to 11:45am.

This includes 27 days annual leave and 6 public holidays, and a wide range of benefits available to you. We also have a full package of learning and development through our learning academy LearnNL to help you reach your full potential and further your career.

North Lanarkshire Council are happy to talk flexible working, we operate a Smarter Working Policy. For all casual/sessional roles, you will receive 12.1% of your hourly rate for every hour worked in total recompense for annual leave, including public holidays.
