Working as part of a team, you will assist the Area Manager and be responsible for the effective and efficient management of our cleaning, catering and janitorial services, ensuring the delivery of a high-quality professional service that maximises resources, delivers outcomes and meets the needs of our customers and service users. This is a challenging and rewarding role working through a period of change including areas of growth as well as delivering savings.

You will have the ability to cope with multiple and competing demands and keep calm under pressure. Educated to HNC level or equivalent, you will have moderate supervisory experience within a customer focused environment and have a good working knowledge or understanding of the current practices and procedures within the cleaning, catering and janitorial services.

With excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills, you will have a positive outlook, the ability to prioritise workloads, work towards deadlines and ensure service provision is maintained within your area. You will have excellent IT skills, experience of monitoring budgets and be able to work on your own and as part of a team. You will participate in focus groups when required in order to enhance service provision.

You will require to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member through Disclosure Scotland and obtain a satisfactory membership check prior to commencing in this role. A driver’s license is essential as you will be required to travel throughout the area of North Lanarkshire and must have a flexible approach to your working hours. This post will be temporary until 31st December 2026.

Work pattern: 35 hours per week - Monday - Thursday: 08:45 - 16:45 (including a 55 minute unpaid break) Friday: 08:45 - 16:15 (including a 50 minute unpaid break).
