There is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and confident individual to join the community facilities team as an Assistant Area Manager. The community facilities team manage North Lanarkshire Council's Community Facilities and bookings within community facilities and the school estate.

The Assistant Area Manager is responsible for supporting the caretaking and cleaning provision and ensuring the delivery of a high quality, professional service, delivering positive outcomes for the communities of North Lanarkshire Council.

Responsibilities

Requirements
  • Educated to HNC or equivalent level.
  • Experience of working in a customer focused environment.
  • Supervisory experience along with experience of supervising multi-site operations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to work as part of a team and lead a team.
  • Experience of using Microsoft Office computer applications.
  • Knowledge of relevant Health and Safety requirements.
  • Understanding of practices and procedures within cleaning/caretaking services.
  • Able to meet deadlines, prioritise work and work under pressure.
  • Ability to direct the team in a positive manner while also working on your own initiative.
  • A flexible approach to work and an understanding, caring approach in dealing with customers.
  • A driving licence is essential for this role.

You will be required to participate in a stand-by out of hours rota.

Work pattern

Monday - Thursday: 8:45am - 4:45pm
Friday: 8:45am - 4:15pm
