North Lanarkshire Council (NLC) is looking for a Gym Manager who will have a track record of delivering successful group fitness and gym-based programmes across multiple venues.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with the health and fitness and venue teams to monitor, measure and report performance of fitness-related and membership sales activity to the Health and Fitness Manager, and establish strong working relationships across departments for the successful delivery of the product within each venue.
- Manage the performance of Gym Instructors and Fitness Specialists and oversee self-employed group fitness instructors delivering within the venues you are responsible for.
- Supervise and motivate staff, demonstrating excellent commercial awareness of the health and fitness products and services offered across North Lanarkshire Leisure to provide exceptional service standards for customers and achieve outstanding customer retention.
- Follow a work pattern of 5 days over 7. This position is temporary for up to 1 year to cover a maternity leave.
Qualifications
- Level 3 Fitness Instructor / Personal Trainer qualification.
- Education at degree, SVQ4, HND level or equivalent.
- Experience within a fitness management / supervisory position and a track record of delivering and implementing successful group fitness and gym-based conditioning programmes.
Additional Requirements
- Become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member through Disclosure Scotland and obtain a satisfactory membership check before starting the role.
