North Lanarkshire Council are looking to appoint various enthusiastic and highly motivated Active Schools Coaches to work alongside our children and young people in a safe environment within our Outdoor Education Programme. The programme, based withing Palacerigg Country Park provides a range of Outdoor Education, Sport and Physical Activities for primary school aged pupils.

These are key appointments to help support current, and develop new opportunities for young people to participate in regular, safe and fun sport and physical activity. Candidates must have a sports coaching qualification as well as the experience of working alongside young people within a similar environment.

Work Patterns

4 posts Monday to Friday 9am to 2.30pm

1 post Monday to Thursday 9am to 2.30pm

This post is temporary for a period until 26/06/2026

As a requirement of these posts, the successful candidates must obtain Protection of Vulnerable Group (PVG) membership through Disclosure Scotland.
