North Kesteven District Council is seeking a qualified professional to join the Public Protection Team. This post puts you at the heart of a passionate and dynamic department which is critical in the delivery of the Council’s Public Protection services providing food safety, health & safety and licensing guidance, inspection and enforcement to businesses throughout the district.

Job Requirements:

  • CIEH registered food safety practitioner who has completed an Accredited Higher Certificate in Food Control or equivalent qualification

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out routine and reactive food hygiene inspections
  • Work with and develop our Primary Authority Partnerships
  • Complete food and environmental sampling and associated investigations

Key Attributes:

  • Be creative with good attention to detail
  • Strong visual and language skills
  • A highly organised and dynamic person
  • Good communication skills and work effectively as part of a small team

You will be required to apply a high level of attention to detail and focus when carrying out this role, to support the delivery of the Public Protection Team at an operational and technical level and show an appreciation of the contribution local government can make to the welfare of the people living, working, and visiting the district.
