North Kesteven District Council is seeking an experienced professional to join the Housing Services department. This post puts you at the heart of an exciting and supportive department which is critical in the delivery of the Council’s Landlord services through providing support to tenants and homeless clients.
Job Requirements
- Experience of providing support to people with complex needs
- Skill and aptitude for problem solving and finding solutions
- Full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes
- Ability to work both alone and as part of a team
Key Responsibilities
- Complete support assessments with customers, agree and implement action plans to deliver the required support with the aim to sustain tenancies and reduce homelessness.
- Provide practical assistance and advice towards financial awareness and inclusion, digital inclusion, training and employment opportunities, and referrals to address other health and welfare issues.
- Help overcome social isolation by enabling customers to build links with the community and access local facilities and resources including leisure, education and training opportunities.
- Carry out escorted viewings, complete inventories and manage stock of furnishings and bedding for temporary accommodation units.
