North Kesteven District Council is seeking an experienced building sector professional to join the Safe and Decent Homes team; this post puts you at the heart of a busy Housing, Property & Customer Services division which is critical in the delivery of the Council's Housing Revenue Account investment programmes through procurement and budget management.

Job Requirements:

  • RICS based qualification or relevant industry experience
  • Skill and aptitude for customer care, and contractor communication and negotiation
  • Knowledge and experience of procurement and contract governance
  • High quality data management

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cost projection and budgeting including 30 Year planning.
  • Informing and influencing procurement and contract management through contract uplifts, cost control and management.
  • Leading valuations and supporting payments to suppliers/contractors
  • Accurate data and financial reporting with legal and regulatory compliance.

  • Excellent financial knowledge including working with indices
  • Highly analytical

  • Ability to work to deadlines and organise own workload with minimum supervision

You will be required to apply a high level of attention to detail when carrying out this role, to support the delivery of services at a technical level and show an appreciation of the contribution local government can make to the welfare of the people living, working, and visiting the district.
