North Kensington Medical Centre is an urban GP practice in Ladbroke Grove, West London. We are looking for an experienced GP practice manager to join our team on a part-time basis (1-2 days a week). The role focuses on compliance management and supporting our full-time service delivery manager with the implementation of new projects and supporting in complex daily management situations. It is an on-site role and would suit an experienced practice manager looking to decrease their hours or one looking to build a portfolio career.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the partners with writing, reviewing and tracking of policies, audits and SOPs.
  • Supporting CQC inspection readiness and ensuring we are inspection ready at all times.
  • Ensuring compliance with Infection Control Policies and ensuring that yearly audit is completed by the practice nurse.
  • Ensuring health and safety compliance e.g. legionella testing, fire, COSHH in liaison with NHS.
  • Supporting the PPG and ensuring Friends and Family and other compliments or suggestions data is collected.
  • Ensuring HR compliance and maintenance of employee records and DBS checks.
  • Ensuring up-to-date staff training.
  • Providing support for practice-wide projects or improvement initiatives.
  • Providing support to the service delivery manager for recruitment.
  • Providing support to the service delivery manager for complex HR situations or complaints.
  • Overseeing SEA and data breaches and supporting the partner and service delivery manager with this.
  • Providing day-to-day support to the service delivery manager in operational or strategic management activities including liaising with the PCN and ICB and attending meetings as needed.

About us:

We are a well-established GP surgery with two long-term partners and a wide range of other doctors and clinicians that work with us. This role has arisen due to the recent changes in the GP core contract and the need to alter our management structure to be able to continue to deliver high-quality care and continually improve our service.

Person Specification:

Experience:

  • Proven track record in practice management of at least 5 years. Management experience must be general practice based.
  • HR and compliance experience.
