North Highland is the world\’s leading change and transformation consultancy. Simply put, we make change happen like no one else. And we\’re on the hunt for a new Utilities Framework Project Manager – inside IR35 – 6 months.

HOW WILL YOU MAKE CHANGE HAPPEN?

North Highland have won a contract with a distribution network operator on a Project and Commercial Services Framework. This is a framework where their commercial teams can go to market for professional services to support the delivery of their capital programmes. Specifically, we will be providing PM\’s and Programme managers.

They will efficiently manage and oversee various projects including substation works, overhead lines, civil engineering, and electrification works so that they can improve and maintain its power distribution infrastructure, potentially leading to increased reliability, reduced downtime, and improved customer satisfaction.

YOU WILL:

  • Deliver projects or a portfolio of projects from inception to completion, ensuring construction assurance, producing delivery plans, managing commercial arrangements with contractors.
  • Provide monthly reports, managing the portfolio of projects delivery risks, contributing to the regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders, and ensure high levels of customer service and safety.
  • Develop the project execution plan and present project governance approval papers.

IDEALLY, WE\’D LIKE:

  • Experience managing construction or engineering projects of values in the region of £3m plus.
  • A degree in a construction or engineering related subject or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent understanding of construction management best practice.
  • Experience in infrastructure or engineering projects (water, rail, heavy civils, power distribution, nuclear or transmission).

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

  • Start Date: March/April 2025
  • Duration: Initial 3- 6 months Inside IR35 contract
  • Working pattern: Onsite working as and when required and extensive travel to other sites.
