SUMMARY

How will you make change happen? As a Supply Chain Solution Architect, you will drive transformational change across a major retail organisation by defining strategic outcomes and end‑to‑end roadmaps that align product direction with business goals. You will shape the future of supply chain operations by bridging the gap between business vision and technical delivery, ensuring that complex systems and processes work seamlessly to support organisational growth and customer satisfaction.

YOU WILL:

  • Define target‑state solution architecture across supply chain platforms, integrations, data flows, and operating processes.
  • Assess current‑state technology landscapes, identify gaps, dependencies, and risks, and recommend pragmatic architecture options.
  • Create high‑level and detailed solution designs that connect business processes, applications, data, and integration requirements.
  • Work closely with engineering and delivery teams to ensure solutions are scalable, secure, supportable, and aligned to architecture standards.
  • Evaluate solution options across buy, build, and integrate scenarios, clearly articulating trade‑offs, assumptions, and business value.
  • Support technical governance, design assurance, and decision‑making throughout discovery, design, build, test, and implementation phases.

IDEALLY, WE'D LIKE:

  • Extensive experience working within large retail organisations and a deep understanding of how they operate.
  • Proven experience designing and delivering end‑to‑end solution architectures for complex retail, supply chain, or enterprise transformation programmes.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain systems such as ERP, WMS, OMS, inventory management, planning, replenishment, or logistics platforms.
  • Experience defining integration, data, security, and non‑functional requirements across complex technology environments.
  • Ability to evaluate architecture options, develop recommendations, and communicate trade‑offs to senior business and technology stakeholders.
  • Hands‑on experience working with product, engineering, data, operations, and third‑party vendor teams to shape and deliver technology‑enabled change.
  • Confidence operating at both strategic and detailed levels, from enterprise roadmap development through to delivery planning and design assurance.
