Salary: £26,903 - £34,618 dependent on experience (pay award pending)

Would you like a key role at the heart of democracy? Do you have a positive and adaptable approach? Are you able to perform under pressure? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you at North Herts Council.

Working at the centre of the democratic process you will play a vital role in maintaining the register of electors, ensuring those eligible are able to vote. You will work closely with the public to encourage participation in the electoral process. At any type of election, you will be involved in every aspect to support the Electoral Services Manager in ensuring the successful delivery.

This is a career graded position, offering an opportunity to develop in this profession. The role requires a high level of organisational skills, with the ability to identify and adapt to changing priorities whilst working to key deadlines. If you are an excellent communicator, a team player, forward thinking, have attention to detail, comprehensive IT literacy skills, and able to understand and apply procedure rules we want to hear from you.

There is a requirement to work long and unsocial hours during election periods, so flexibility on working hours is essential.
