We’re looking for an experienced, passionate Engineering Tutor & Assessor to join our Apprenticeship Team and play a pivotal role in:
- Co‑designing and building our new Engineering Apprenticeship programme
- Developing an engaging, industry‑aligned curriculum that reflects local skills needs
- Delivering high‑quality teaching, assessment and support to apprentices
- Embedding innovation, sustainability and real‑world practice into every stage of learning
- Working closely with industry partners to ensure our apprentices gain the skills employers truly value

North Hertfordshire College is embarking on an exciting new chapter and you could be at the heart of it. We’re launching a brand‑new Engineering Apprenticeship provision in Stevenage, starting with the Level 2 Engineering Operative Standard. This is a rare opportunity to shape something from the ground up and make a lasting impact on the future of engineering talent in our region.
The College operates across three main campuses in Stevenage and Hitchin, employing over 650 staff. With a turnover of £30m, the college provides learning opportunities to over 10,000 students each year from study programmes for 16‑18 year olds and apprenticeships through to adult provision locally, regionally and nationally. We were judged Good by Ofsted at our last inspection in December 2023, with outstanding features.
