Overview
Do you have a passion for great teaching and learning and want to help others develop their practice? This role leads on our teacher training and professional development programmes as part of the Teaching, Learning and Quality team, supporting colleagues across the organisation and external trainee teachers to improve and strengthen teaching practice.
Responsibilities
- Lead on, deliver and assess our teacher education programmes to internal and external audiences (including Award and Diploma in Education & Training, Level 3 and Level 4 TAQA).
- Lead on recruitment of internal and external participants to our teacher education programmes.
- Provide group and one-to-one coaching support to teachers.
- Support the design and delivery of professional development sessions, staff conferences and organisation-wide development on a planned and ad hoc basis.
- Support curriculum areas with their delivery of professional development programmes.
- Work with the E-Learning Co-ordinator to improve the digital skills of teachers.
- Work with members of the Teaching, Learning & Quality and Student Experience teams on quality improvement projects and activity.
- Apply experience of delivering high quality teacher training and development to improve practice and share best teaching approaches.
