North Haven Childcare and Education Centre is based in the heart of Timaru and is a not-for-profit community ECE centre with a licence for 50 tamariki aged between 3 months and 5 years old. We have an experienced and loyal team of 11 permanent kaiako and a purpose-built facility in central Timaru. We have full pay parity and a 2 week closedown over Christmas.

We are now seeking an experienced or aspiring leader to join our whānau as the centre manager on a permanent basis. At North Haven, we provide high-quality care and education for all children, with a play-based curriculum where children are empowered to be competent and confident lifelong learners while embedding the competencies of kaitiakitanga, whanaungatanga and manaakitanga.

This role requires a passionate and experienced centre manager or someone with the skills and experience to support a move into a management role. We are seeking someone who is an authentic and effective communicator to work collaboratively alongside the teaching team and drive high quality education and care for our community’s tamariki.

This position is the lead oversight requiring experience in the ECE curriculum, health and safety, financial and HR management to meet MOE licensing requirements. You will have proven experience in building community relationships and be able to develop and motivate a team of incredible teachers.
