Mechanical Engineering Expert Witness (UK)
We are seeking a Mechanical Engineering Expert Witness to join our clients highly regarded expert witness division. As part of a team that supports international arbitration and litigation, you will provide independent expert opinion on complex mechanical engineering matters in sectors such as construction, infrastructure, energy, and industrial projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare high-quality expert reports for use in formal dispute resolution forums.
- Provide clear, logical, and robust expert evidence in tribunals, court proceedings, and mediations.
- Analyse technical documentation and project records to identify relevant mechanical engineering issues.
- Engage with instructing solicitors, barristers, and clients with clarity and professionalism.
Requirements
- Chartered Mechanical Engineer or equivalent qualification.
- 15+ yearsโ experience in mechanical engineering, including senior project / hands on roles.
- Previous experience acting as an expert witness is desirable, but senior engineers with demonstrable report writing skills will also be considered.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
