We are seeking an experienced Chartered Building Surveyor to join our clients expanding Expert Witness and Forensic Investigation team. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong professional with extensive experience in defects analysis, construction technology and contract matters to develop a specialist career in Expert Witness work.
Working alongside experienced experts, you will undertake detailed site investigations, analyse building defects and causation, assist with technical reporting and support dispute resolution and insurance-related matters across a wide range of projects throughout the UK.
Candidates should possess a minimum of 15 years’ professional experience, with a strong background in defects analysis, rectification and construction methods. MRICS status (or equivalent) is essential, together with sound knowledge of industry standards, Building Regulations, and JCT/NEC contracts.
The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent analytical and report-writing skills, the ability to communicate complex technical matters clearly to non-technical audiences, and a professional, investigative approach to problem solving. Previous Expert Witness experience is advantageous but not essential, as training and mentoring will be provided.
This role offers a rewarding opportunity to work within a specialist team on complex technical and contractual matters while developing expertise in forensic investigation, dispute resolution and Expert Witness services.
