North Gate is proud to be supporting a highly respected consultancy with a strong presence in the technical dispute resolution and expert witness market. It is primarily focused on providing specialist Architectural and design related dispute resolution support and advice to solicitors, builders and project stakeholders.
This opportunity is suitable for an ambitious Architect who is interested to move into the area of Dispute Resolution. It will enable them to work alongside experts in this field and develop skills in litigation support, claims analysis and expert witness.
The successful candidate should have:
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in private practice
- Extensive experience in the design and construction of a wide range of building types
- Good technical knowledge and excellent analytical skills
- Registered Architect / RIBA
- Degree qualified ideally with additional qualifications in Law or an interest in pursuing these
- Interest in dispute resolution and Expert Witness consultancy
- Experience in the technical aspects of architectural design, production information and specifications
- Experience with construction contracts, NEC, JCT, FIDIC etc.
- Experience on site overseeing design management and value engineering
- Very good written and verbal English language skills
- Analytical approach to problems, an enquiring mind
- Knowledge of the legal process - construction law
- Experience of construction dispute resolution is an advantage
