North Gate are proud to be supporting a respected and long-established dispute resolution, expert witness and advisory consultancy which has been a mainstay of the UK dispute resolution sector for many years.

Privately owned, it is admired for its service, integrity and quality.

We currently seek a Managing Director for their expert witness business.

The role offers exceptional short and long term prospects and opportunity for the successful incumbent.

Responsibilities: Leading a dispute resolution and expert witness team Management of a team of experienced experts and consultants Providing Expert Witness testimony and support to a broad client base in the legal, construction and engineering sector Working on behalf of main contractors, law firms and employers on high value £multi-million disputes / arbitrations Becoming a key member of the leadership of the business Undertaking both a hands on and strategic role Developing collaborative relationships with new and existing clients.

Assisting with the attraction, development and retention of new and existing staff Experience Required Someone enthusiastic about the dispute resolution sector with integrity and commercial awareness Appointed as an Expert Witness in quantum, delay or engineering Someone who enjoys business management, strategy and development Someone who has ideally been cross-examined and understands the court process Demonstrable ability to generate work from new and existing clients Degree qualified ideally with additional qualifications in construction law.

Ideally chartered.

Your technical background is likely to be in quantity surveying, engineering or project planning/management Someone used to working closely with respected clients on complex or sensitive work.

A confident and articulate communicator with high level oral and written English language skills.
