What you’ll do

As a Test Technician, you will support the testing and development of our electric motor systems, ensuring safe, accurate and efficient execution of test procedures. This is a hands‑on role requiring strong technical expertise, problem‑solving capability and attention to detail.

Key responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain safe systems of work within the test environment
  • Execute test procedures, capturing accurate and reliable data
  • Support the setup, debugging and commissioning of powertrain test rigs
  • Identify and manage required test equipment, parts and spares
  • Work collaboratively with engineering teams to support product development and continuous improvement
  • Provide practical, analytical input to resolve technical issues

About you

We’re looking for someone who combines technical expertise with a proactive and adaptable mindset, ideally with experience in a fast‑paced engineering or manufacturing environment.

Essential skills & experience

  • HNC / HND in Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience
  • Previous experience working as a Test Technician within a similar industry (e.g. automotive, EV, manufacturing, or powertrain)
  • Electrical/electronics background, including:
    • Ability to read and interpret schematics
    • Experience with panel wiring
  • Strong computer literacy and confidence working with test systems and software
  • Experience working within a demanding, hands‑on technical environment

Desirable

  • Experience in a Maintenance Technician role
  • High voltage training or IMI Level 2 (or equivalent) in Electric/Hybrid Vehicle Systems
  • Experience working with powertrain or motor testing environments
