North East Truck and Van are looking for an experienced Light Commercial Vehicle Sales Executive to promote and sell our Maxus and Fiat Professional range. This is a full-time Monday-Friday role working from our Blaydon branch and covering Newcastle, Sunderland, Northumberland and surrounding areas.
We are ideally looking for an experienced commercial vehicle sales person or a field based BDM, who can work autonomously and has the drive and hunger to prospect for new business as well as maintain existing customer relationships in the area. We offer a generous basic salary and uncapped commission; however, a realistic initial OTE would be £35-45k.
Main Duties:
- Maximising vehicle sales and profitability of the commercial vehicle range in the market through prospecting new business, managing existing customers and delivering market leading customer service.
- Developing and maintaining an understanding of both manufacturer product ranges by studying their features and capabilities as well as understanding comparisons to competitive models.
- Translating that knowledge into comprehensive, easy to understand and targeted information to assist customers in their buying decisions and promoting the strengths and benefits of the LCV range.
- Preparing accurate and detailed sales presentations (either written or verbal) that include all relevant information and advice on LCVs, equipment and accessories.
- Managing the sale from point of enquiry right the way through to delivery of the vehicle and then supporting the customer with any further needs post-delivery.
- Constructing a profitable deal, overcoming any issues the customer may present and negotiating the deal to a positive conclusion.
- Carrying out regular follow up contacts to customers and prospects and recording that information on the CRM system.
- Reporting any lost sales with a detailed write-up to enable those issues causing the sale to be lost to be overcome in future where possible.
- Attendance at Company and manufacturer events such as trade shows including over weekends where necessary.
- Promotion of both the Company and brand at every opportunity when dealing with customers, suppliers and all other third parties.
- Maintaining a well presented and well stocked sales pitch to showcase the vehicles and ensuring marketing literature is present and up to date in customer areas of the dealership.
