Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Transport/Freight Forwarding Planner located in Newton Aycliffe. The role involves co-ordinating freight forwarding operations, transportation logistics, and providing top-notch customer service. The planner will ensure efficient scheduling and tracking of shipments, maintain compliance with regulations, and work closely with clients and carriers to ensure smooth supply chain operations.

Qualifications

  • Expertise in Freight Forwarding, Freight Transportation, compliance and planning operations.
  • Knowledge of Export processes and logistics.
  • Strong Customer Service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and build relationships with clients, drivers and carriers.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with experience in managing scheduling and transportation plans.
  • A comprehensive understanding of compliance requirements in logistics and freight forwarding.
  • Proficiency with logistics software (ideally Samsara) and Microsoft Office.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced work environment.
