Responsibilities
- Provide learning support for bespoke groups of students aged 14-16 years attending the 14-16 Alternative Provision at Nescot.
- Encourage engagement, resilience, and positive learning behaviours of students in lessons so they achieve a sense of accomplishment and re-engage in education.
- Support individual students and small groups in lessons, vocational sessions, and interventions.
- Assist students in identifying a pathway for post-16 study.
Qualifications
- Experience working with young people aged 11-16, particularly those with SEND or SEMH needs.
- Experience supporting students with EHCPs.
- Experience in Alternative Provision or similar settings.
- Calm, patient, resilient, and adaptable approach.
- Ability to work in a small team.
- Good organisational skills and confidence using IT for administrative tasks.
- Good communication skills – written and verbal.
- Ability to use own initiative and make decisions.
- GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English at grade C or above.
