We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Librarian to work as part of our Library+ team based at Fraserburgh Campus. At each College site, the Library+ is at the heart of the Campus, providing learners and staff with access to a wide range of services and facilities to help support learning and teaching.
Responsibilities
- Have a recognised degree in Librarianship or Information Management accredited by the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals (CILIP);
- Have Chartered Librarian status (MCLIP) or be working towards this.
- Have experience working in an education library setting.
- Be confident in developing and leading sessions relating to information literacies, study skills and digital skills.
- Possess knowledge and understanding of print and electronic information resources and be able to demonstrate a range of pedagogical approaches to supporting learners to search for, access and use such information.
- Have strong communication skills to work with lecturing staff to ensure curricular needs are being met.
- Have experience providing excellent customer service.
- Have the ability to lead and manage a team.
