Location: The Lumen, St James' Boulevard, Newcastle upon Tyne, various ‘spoke’ offices throughout the North East and remote working arrangements.

Salary: N11 £55,604 - £59,068 per annum. (Please note it is North East MSA policy to appoint at the starting point of the salary band).

Contract: Full-time, Fixed term to cover maternity leave.

This is an exciting opportunity to step into a high-profile leadership role, shaping and delivering the North East Mayoral Strategic Authority's research, evaluation, evidence and analysis programme during a key period. As Programme Manager, you will lead the development of high-impact analytical outputs, including flagship publications and strategic research projects, ensuring that decision-making across the North East MSA is grounded in robust, up-to-date evidence.

Working closely with senior leaders and colleagues, you will lead a coherent and forward looking approach to insight across the organisation, building a comprehensive evidence base that underpins our Corporate Plan, informs investment decisions, and supports delivery of our missions. You will play a key role in strengthening how evidence is used, moving beyond individual outputs to embed insight at the heart of policy, strategy and delivery.

You will take a collaborative, outward looking approach, building strong partnerships with universities, research organisations, and regional and national stakeholders to enhance the quality and reach of our analysis. Alongside leading programmes, budgets and analysts you will drive innovation in how we generate, use and share insight strengthening frameworks, tools and approaches that support a proactive, joined-up organisations.

A key part of the role will be shaping and evolving our analytical approach: moving beyond producing outputs to ensuring that evidence, evaluation and learning are embedded from the earliest stages of policy and programme design.

Through effective communication and engagement, you will position the North East as a national leader in the use of data, evidence and analysis to inform decision-making and deliver impact.
