You will play a leading role in shaping opportunities for people across the North East. You’ll oversee the successful delivery of strategic projects that support stronger skills pathways, better outcomes for residents, and the ambitions of the North East Combined Authority. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of high‑profile skills programmes, ensuring they are delivered to the highest standards of quality and performance.
Experience of the skills sector is essential for this role and experience of managing capital projects would be advantageous. In this role, you will lead and coordinate a range of projects that supports the delivery of the Adult Skills Programme, bringing together project teams, partners and stakeholders to drive effective collaboration and informed decision‑making. You’ll lead planning and review meetings, coordinate complex project activity, and ensure the North East CA is represented with credibility and professionalism.
Skilled at negotiation and relationship‑building, you’ll work across internal teams, local partners and external organisations to secure the right solutions and deliver meaningful impact for our region. You’ll also play a key role in shaping future strategy by interpreting policy, and contributing to service planning that aligns with the North East CA’s long‑term ambitions, the New Deal for North East Workers, the Local Growth Plan and our broader Corporate Plan.
