Join us as a Business Growth Adviser within the North East Growth Hub. The North East Combined Authority (North East CA) is committed to driving economic growth and supporting businesses across our region. The North East Growth Hub is a central resource for businesses seeking advice, funding, and support to thrive. We are looking for a passionate and proactive Business Growth Adviser to join our team and help businesses access the right services at the right time.
Responsibilities
- Work directly with businesses to understand their needs and connect them with the most relevant support, from funding opportunities and specialist guidance to local networks and programmes.
- Collaborate closely with partners and stakeholders to ensure businesses receive high-quality, tailored support that helps them grow and thrive.
- Act as a trusted adviser to local businesses, identifying challenges and opportunities and guiding them towards the right solutions.
- Build strong, productive relationships with businesses, partners, and wider stakeholders while maintaining up-to-date knowledge of regional and national support initiatives.
- Promote the North East Growth Hub services through events, networking, and proactive outreach, and raise awareness of the support available through our partner network.
- Track and report engagement and outcomes, demonstrating impact and contributing to economic growth across the region.
Qualifications and Skills
- Business-savvy professional with a strong understanding of SME challenges and opportunities.
- Excellent communicator with outstanding interpersonal skills, able to build trust and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Proactive and organised, with experience in business support or economic development (desirable).
- Passion for helping businesses grow and succeed.
