Overview
An exciting opportunity to work with children within the Children\’s physiotherapy team for Redbridge as a Physiotherapy Assistant Practitioner supporting the specialist physiotherapist leading on the EHCP provision for children attending a Redbridge Mainstream School.
To assist in assessment and treatment of physiotherapy alongside the senior physiotherapist.
To order, monitor, manage, track record keeping/admin on EHCP provision and report writing.
To order, monitor, record, manage the storage and set up of school/ community equipment.
To lead / organise / run group activity / sessions under guidance of senior physiotherapist.

Starting with NELFT
NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. Induction will include opportunities to meet the executive team, senior managers, and attend drop-in sessions focusing on engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. Induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.
Probationary Period: This post will be subject to a probationary period.
High Cost Area Supplement – Outer London: This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (minimum payment of £4,714 and a maximum payment of £5,941 – per annum, pro rata for part time).
Role Description
To assist the physiotherapists in providing a high standard physiotherapy service to pre-school / school aged children by supporting the therapist in the screening, planning, implementation and modification of physiotherapy programmes.
To carry out an extended assistant’s role in identified areas having completed training and successful competency training.
