We are currently recruiting for an Adult Consultant Psychiatrist position in the Kent All Age Eating Disorder (AAED) service based at The Courtyard, Pudding Lane, Maidstone, Kent, ME14 1PA. This is a replacement, substantive, full-time post – 10 PAs with 7.5 PA DCC and 2.5 SPA. This post is currently vacant, and we wish to recruit to this post as soon as possible. You will join another full-time substantive Adult Consultant Psychiatrist, 2.8wte CAMHS Consultants, 0.4wte Paediatrician, and 0.6wte CAMHS Specialty Doctor within the service, and will have the opportunity to influence future direction, treatment, and models of design in the area in which you work. ECDL or equivalent qualification. Experience in strategic development Clinical Experience Essential Mastery in the management of a broad range of mental disorders under children including neurodevelopment disorders Desirable Experience in managing patients from different cultural backgrounds. Working with interpreters and translators. Knowledge Essential Extensive knowledge of the biological, psychological, and social determinants of mental health disorders and evidencebased management interventions Up to date knowledge of recent DH documentation and NICE Guidelines. Desirable An awareness of NHS Plan, NSF, and clinical governance priorities Clinical Skills Essential Excellent clinical skills.
