Yarborough Academy is looking for a nurturing and inspiring part time Teacher to join our team from February 2026. We are looking for someone with vision, drive and passion to create and deliver cutting edge education. We are a larger than average primary school, striving to make a difference in the local community through a brain based and science led approach to learning and education. We CARE (Create Attachment Relationships in Education) to get the best out of children's brains.

We are looking for someone who is dynamic, encouraging, empathic, innovative, well-regulated and is committed to working in a relational way. The role would ideally suit someone ready for an exciting journey and challenge, who has patience in abundance and enjoys sharing the magic of learning. If you can be the rainbow in a child's storm and a guiding light in the curriculum we deliver to the children and families that we serve, our school might just be the place for you!

If you have:

  • Aspirations, enthusiasm, innovation and a belief that excellence in teaching is not accidental.
  • Confidence in own abilities.
  • Knowledge, experience and creative ways of working with curriculum content to ensure learning is world class.
  • An ability in working in a relationships-first, restorative way, honouring the lived experiences of children in our community.
  • The ability to utilise a blend of restorative practice, therapeutic parenting and trauma informed approaches and models.
  • A belief that behaviour is communication and that children deserve unconditional positive regard.
  • A passion for supporting emotional regulation in children through coregulation and modelling the model.
  • A commitment to developing positive relationships with staff at school, children, parents and outside agencies.

This is by no means an easy job, it requires hard work, dedication and a sense of hopefulness to make a meaningful difference to the lives of children in our school community.

We can offer you:

  • A dedicated and supportive staff team.
  • Half termly reflective practice.
  • Opportunities for career development through CPD.
  • A restorative and creative approach to valuing all who enter our school.

Please note that this is only a fixed term contract in the first instance. After a successful one year contract with us it is intended that the job would be made permanent. Yarborough Academy is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Applicants will therefore undergo Enhanced DBS checks as part of our Safer Recruitment Process.
