Our Purpose

Our mission is to provide a first-class front-line waste and recycling collection service for the residents across North East Lincolnshire.

Your Role

Working as part of a team in a busy front-line service you will carry out waste & recycling collection duties for our North-East Lincolnshire residents, in line with policies, procedures, a local performance agreement and a commitment to ensure health and safety is observed at all times. The role is very physically demanding, incorporating a continuous pace of manual handling throughout the day, walking 8-10 miles per day, in all weathers. Previous experience of working in Waste & Recycling may be an advantage however full training will be given, including manoeuvring assistant, induction, and completion of statutory training e.g., General Data Protection Regulations. There are further development opportunities and career progression.

About You

Working in the public domain you will represent the Local Authority at all times whilst wearing the mandatory uniform. You will seek to maintain the best relationship between work colleagues at all levels, departments, members, and residents and have a commitment to excellent customer care and service delivery. Punctuality is an essential part of the role which has an early start each morning.
