We are seeking a highly motivated and values-driven Substance Misuse Coordinator who is passionate about improving outcomes for individuals, families and communities affected by drug and alcohol use. The post will support the delivery of outcomes in relation to substance use across Northern Lincolnshire, ensuring the effective day to day operation of the Northern Lincolnshire Combatting Drugs Partnership, assisting with service development, evaluation and monitoring, and engaging with partners across the substance use treatment, prevention and enforcement systems.

Role and responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery of outcomes in relation to substance use across Northern Lincolnshire.
  • Ensure the effective day to day operation of the Northern Lincolnshire Combatting Drugs Partnership.
  • Assist with service development, evaluation and monitoring.
  • Engage with partners across the substance use treatment, prevention and enforcement systems.
  • Coordinate multi-agency activity and support system-wide approaches, ensuring services are aligned with local priorities, national guidance and evidence-based practice.

Collaborative working:

The ideal person will be an excellent relationship-builder, able to work collaboratively across a wide range of partners, including commissioned treatment services, public health colleagues, local authority teams, the NHS, criminal justice partners, voluntary and community sector organisations, and people with lived experience.

Host and accountability:

This post will be hosted by North Lincolnshire Council, being a joint funded post by public health in North and North East Lincolnshire. The postholder will be accountable for work that spans across both local authorities.
