As a Social Worker in North East Lincolnshire Council\’s Children\’s Services, you will work as part of a team to provide high quality Social Work practice to make a lasting difference to the lives of children and families.

Children\’s Fostering Social Work Team

We are developing and expanding our Fostering Social Work service to further build the skills, knowledge and expertise to support foster carers in delivering our vision for children to grow up happy, healthy, safe in their homes and communities with people who love them.

We are looking for social workers with fostering experience, we are also keen to hear from social workers who feel they may have transferable skills with a continued passion to learn and develop in this area of Social Care practice. You will have a good understanding of the impact of trauma affecting children and be able to support foster carers in caring for children, working within a supportive service.

With a supportive leadership structure, Fostering Social Workers support and supervise Foster Carers in addition to undertaking assessments that relate to Fostering and Kinship arrangements.

Alongside the statutory role, you will also be expected to engage with prospective new and existing foster carers such as supporting marketing and recruitment events, support groups, fostering celebration events, delivering and participating in training for foster carers and matching homes for children with the right fostering families to support stability.

Our Offer

Salary from ASYE level 35,235 up to 47,754 (depending on experience) PLUS Essential Car User Allowance.

Social Workers from out of the area will also have access to a relocation and travel from home scheme worth up to 8,000.
