As a Health and Safety Advisor, you will play a vital role in providing competent advice to a variety of services, including Estates & Assets, Facilities Management, Highways Maintenance, Housing and Transport.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Health & Safety advice internally and to partners.
  • Support risk assessments across services, investigate accidents, incidents and dangerous occurrences.
  • Conduct spot site visits to ensure contractor compliance.
  • Monitor contractors, site agents and internal project management processes.
  • Develop monitoring and reporting systems.
  • Support contractor selection and vetting.
  • Ensure Construction Design Management compliance throughout projects.
  • Conduct periodic workplace inspections and statutory assessments.
  • Assist in leading and contributing to internal and external audits relating to health and safety.
  • Contribute to policy and procedure development in line with legislation and best practice.
  • Apply creativity and innovation to solve complex health‑and‑safety challenges.
