This role is 27.5 hours per week working term time only.
What will your day look like?
Our Drivers transport children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) from their homes to local schools at the start and end of the school day, ensuring their safety at all times. You will be driving an automatic, long-wheel-based wheelchair accessible Treka. You’ll also be carrying out daily checks on your allocated vehicle, keeping it clean and safe for loading/unloading wheelchair users and using special equipment, as well as securing passengers using a range of restraint systems.
Who are we looking for?
You must be flexible and creative with the ability to adapt in challenging situations. We are looking for somebody who can engage, communicate effectively and build and maintain relationships with a range of stakeholders, such as children with SEND, parents and school staff. You will hold a full clean driving licence with D1 entitlement and recent experience of driving larger vehicles such as a 16-seater minibus (preferably with automatic transmission) will be advantageous.
Why join us?

This is your opportunity to join a team and wider service committed to making a real and lasting difference for children and families across our community.
