We are looking for a compliance assistant to join our social care commissioning team on a full-time, permanent basis. This fast-paced role requires initiative and planning to support the children's commissioning team in finding appropriate homes and education places for vulnerable children and helping to keep them safe.

Responsibilities:

  • Creating and administering systems to monitor compliance
  • Issuing contracts on behalf of the local authority and monitoring returns
  • Issuing and tracking agreements issued by the local authority to external providers
  • Working in partnership with finance colleagues to ensure value for money in relation to placements
  • Noting and escalating quality assurance concerns

Qualifications and skills:

  • Experience of working in a high-pressure team environment
  • Effective communication and ICT skills
  • Ability to build good working relationships across teams to ensure compliance
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage own workload and meet tight deadlines
