Location: Old Clee Primary Academy

Salary: SCP 3 – £24,796 FTE pro rata

Contract: 12/06/2026

Hours: 34.75 hours per week (Mon‑Fri 08:15‑15:30 + 1 hour per week for meetings)

We are looking to appoint an outstanding, committed and motivated Teaching Assistant to join our academy for September 2026. At Old Clee Primary Academy we focus on preparing children for life by delivering an imaginative, creative and inspiring curriculum which motivates children to want to learn while developing their transferable skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Support pupils with independent learning and inclusion of all pupils
  • Work with the teacher to plan and deliver activities and provide feedback to the teacher
  • Support pupils with routines, transitions and behaviour management
  • Be responsible for effective phonics delivery and assessment of large/small groups where applicable
  • Be responsible for effective intervention delivery and assessment of large/small groups where applicable, adapting plans according to children’s needs to make an impact
Qualifications:
  • Motivated, enthusiastic individual ready to embrace a rewarding challenge
  • Experience as a Teaching Assistant working with children in Early Years
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
  • Successful completion of an enhanced DBS check, two satisfactory references, and for teachers a prohibition check
