Could you be the innovative graduate who’s ready to turn bold ideas into real-world AI solutions that help transform how local services are delivered? If you’ve graduated in the past two years and have exposure to AI, and if you are excited about the future of technology and love diving into the world of AI, then this role might be your perfect match. Maybe you’ve tinkered with tools like Copilot or Agentforce, or you’re eager to learn. If you enjoy turning complex ideas into clear, engaging presentations and thrive on connecting with others, you’ll fit right in.

What’s the role about? This role is within the council’s ICT service, which drives digital transformation across the organisation. The service harnesses technology—including artificial intelligence—to improve council operations and service delivery. Its purpose is to explore, implement, and support innovative and secure AI solutions aligned with the council’s strategic goals. As a Graduate, you’ll work on real-world projects that enhance efficiency, support decision-making, and create smarter, more responsive public services.

What will your day look like? No two days will be the same. You might research the latest AI trends, brainstorm with departments to identify problems AI can solve, test and refine AI tools like Copilot, Copilot Studio, and Agentforce, lead training sessions, document your work, support users, and share insights.

Who are we looking for? We seek a curious and motivated graduate passionate about AI and its potential to transform work. You might be finishing your degree or recently graduated. You enjoy solving problems, thinking analytically, and bringing fresh ideas. Strong communication skills, teamwork, a commitment to growth, and an interest in AI’s role in the public sector—especially governance and ethics—are important.

Why join us? Join us to contribute your ideas and curiosity in a supportive, forward-thinking environment. Engage in meaningful projects, collaborate across departments, and develop your skills. This role is more than a graduate position; it’s the start of an impactful career.
